Our client required something ‘a little different’ for this prime but compact beachfront site in one of New Zealand’s top holiday spots.
This funky design concept stands apart from its neighbours, mainly through the curvilinear roof shape which references the local marine and boating context. Generous decks provide for outdoor living and commanding views above the sand dunes at first floor level. The modest size – together with an eclectic use of materials – helps to retain a sense of bach.
