Darroch Valuations Fitout

The challenges presented by this existing building for refurbishment were:

  • to create an inviting, up-market entrance
  • to provide clear visitor direction - without a reception - at ground level
  • to utilise peripheral office space without blocking natural light to the central core
  • to design an office environment with elements of interest and delight

The interior design solution employed a diverse palette of techniques to meet these design challenges, including:

  • directional floor materials
  • surface gloss distinction
  • destination cues
  • lighting alignment
  • glazed peripheral walls
  • punctuated internal walls and aperturetextured glass-on-glass panels
  • degrees of privacy and opacity

The resulting interior serves as a modern interpretation of the notion of the office environment – open yet closed, and bathed in natural light.
